In March of 1990 the Coro Notas Soltas de Vila Franca de Xira was founded and until 2010 was directed by Tina Costa Pinto. One year later, made it's first public presentation, having been helding concerts in the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira and in different locations in Portugal since then. In March of 1992, was constituted as a cultural association. Has been participating in several festivals and choir gatherings in Portugal and abroad as well.

Since 2010 is beeing directed by the teacher Ana Paula Mendes, working to improve the vocal quality and knowledge in the choir. To the most recent international performances of the choir is the one of November of 2013, at the Advent Festival of the Czech Republic in Prague. In a solemn session, commemorative of the Day of the City, received the Cultural Merit Award 2015, attributed by the Executive of the District Council of Vila Franca de Xira. In October of 2016 participated in an amateur choirs festival, Cantat Catalunya, held in Barcelona. Last but not the least, on the 18th of November of 2017 was invited by the Coral Santa Cecilia, to participate in a choir's gathering, Tierra de Barros, held in Villafranca de los Barros, Spain, a twin town with Vila Franca de Xira.
